Southern Alberta GHG - Climate Change Syposium

More than 50 Economic, community, educational and environmental leaders from across southern Alberta discussed issues, questions, solutions, and how southern Alberta will be impacted at the June 5th GHG - Climate Change Summit. The five hour symposium generated hundreds of questions, possible solutions and suggested how to move forward in southern Alberta. The symposium report will be released in August.

 

 

Environment Summit #6

SACEE partnered with the Kainai High School on the Blood Reserve to host the 6th Southern Alberta Environmental Summit May 29th. More than 200 Kainai Elders, teachers, environmental leaders and students shared their ideas on environmental topics that are impacting the Blood Reserve. Ten topics were considerd and discussed some of the topics included water, waste management, and food production. The afternoon of the Summit was an opportunity to celebrate the youth and the potential that they hold. For a more detailed summary click here.
